Check out the beautiful NOS solid aluminum knob a friend gave me. I may have go get some of these machined. Most aluminum knobs nowadays are just a bit of foil over plastic. It doesn't feel nearly as nice.

Since this is for personal use, I decided on using up some salvage jacks. Mouser has the top jack for about $1 each. It's the smallest 1/4" jack I've found.
